Nathalie Stewart

Nathalie is a Franklin native with a Belgian heritage. Her childhood and adolescence included multiple trips to visit her father's family in Belgium, and a three month study abroad in France during highschool. She has, consequently, been fascinated with how culture shapes the way we view the world. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, majoring in Humanities with a focus on the evolution of language through cultural movements.

In 2008, Nathalie married her highschool sweetheart, Tyler. They lived in Chattanooga and worked in the hospitality industry until 2011 when they moved back to Nashville. They have recently relocated to Franklin with their two delightful, bouncy children and live in a little house in the woods with a menagerie of animals. Nathalie joins the Academy Tutorial in the Spring of 2021 to teach the Senior Seminar on African Literature.
