Karen is a Nashville native (one of the few!) and she holds a Bachelor's Degree from Lipscomb University and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University. Karen is a licensed therapist and is a member of NAACC and AAMFT and is certified in EMDR and EFT. Karen's areas of focus include pre-marital therapy, marital therapy, and individual therapy. She believes it is a God-given privilege to be a respectful listener to her clients' stories. Karen has been married to her husband, Tim, for 40 years, and they have 4 children and 13 grandchildren who all call her "Nonni". Karen has written two books: Go Fly A Kite: Ten Surprising Strategies for Success in Your Homeschool and Go Light a Fire about homeschool marriages. Karen has homeschooled a doctor, an accountant, and a nurse (despite getting queasy at the sight of blood and being unable to balance her own checkbook!). Karen is in her 33rd year of home educating---and has one more to go!
