Cynthia resides in Franklin, Tennessee after living much of her life in the Midwest states of Indiana, Ohio, and Kansas.   She and her husband, Eric, are the thankful parents of three: Ashley (24), Angela (22), and Christopher (17).  Having started on the home education journey in 1994, Cynthia has years of experience with teaching her own children and many other students.  Cynthia’s educational background includes undergraduate degrees in English and Psychology from Indiana University, and a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Miami University.  At The Academy Tutorial, she has been tutoring World Literature and academic writing since 2006.  Cynthia seeks to stir young people to love the Lord with all of their hearts, minds, souls, and strengths.  For her, the novels, plays, and poems offer countless opportunities to gain wisdom and stretch students to consider other places and people.  Cynthia is the author of Alive, Awake, Alert: Poetic Meditations in the Company of Father, Son, and Spirit.  Her interests include morning walks, Indiana basketball, quilts, healthy food, and old books.
